What we store
Almost nothing — and specifically, nothing on our servers. The writing tools (word counter, SWOT builder, citation generators and the rest) are plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript that execute in your browser after the page loads. The text you paste into them is processed on your device and is never transmitted anywhere, because there is no backend on this site to receive it. You can verify this: load a tool page, disconnect from the internet, and keep working.
Some tools offer to save your progress so you do not lose work when a tab closes. That save uses your browser's local storage, which lives on your device, is readable only by this site in that browser, and never reaches us. Keys start with csw- (for example, a SWOT session or PESTLE notes). To clear them, use the button below — or clear site data in your browser settings at any time.
Clear saved drafts from this device
Runs locally — nothing is sentRemoves every draft this site's tools saved in this browser (all entries starting with csw-). Your other browser data is left alone.
Analytics
The site owner may enable Google Analytics for traffic statistics. If it is enabled, Google sets cookies in your browser and receives standard technical data — pages visited, approximate location at city level, browser and device type — with IP addresses anonymized. The site owner uses this only to see which pages are useful and which need fixing. If analytics is disabled, no analytics cookies are set at all. Either way, the tools themselves do not depend on analytics and work identically without it. You can block analytics with any standard browser setting or extension, and nothing on this site will break.
Embedded third-party content
Two kinds of third-party content can appear on this site, and both are governed by their own providers' policies:
- The quote form. Pages about the writing service embed a quote form widget so you can request help without leaving the page. When you choose to interact with it, the widget is loaded from its provider, and what you submit there — plus any technical data the provider collects — is handled under the provider's privacy policy, shown in the form before you commit to anything. If you never click the quote button, the widget never loads.
- Possible advertising scripts. If the site owner enables advertising, those scripts are served by their own providers, set their own cookies, and operate under their own policies. Empty ad slots on this site load nothing at all.
What these third parties never get from us is your drafts: the tools have nothing to hand over.
Email contact
If you write to us — through the contact page or directly — your email address and message are used to answer you and for nothing else. The contact form on this site does not transmit anything by itself; it composes a message in your own email client, so the message lives in your sent folder, not in a database here.
Questions and changes
Privacy questions get plain-English answers: write via the contact page and pick the privacy topic. If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top changes with it, and material changes will be described rather than buried.
