The method

Four moves between you and a finished case study

Tap each card — the flip side tells you what to actually do.

01

Deconstruct the brief

Tap to flip

Underline the deliverables: word count, required frameworks, deadline, marking rubric. Your paper is graded against the brief, not against effort — work the checklist backwards from the rubric.
02

Map the situation

Tap to flip

Pull facts into a framework: SWOT for internal + external, PESTLE for macro forces, Five Forces for industry rivalry. Our builders give you prompts so the matrix is never a blank page.
03

Argue, don't retell

Tap to flip

Every paragraph should advance a claim: what the problem is, why it matters, what theory says about it. Retelling the case gets a pass; analysing it gets a distinction.
04

Recommend & polish

Tap to flip

End with actions that are specific, feasible and tied to your analysis. Then run the readability checker, fix long sentences, verify citations and hit the exact word count.

Plan before you write

Typical word counts by assignment

Briefs override every rule of thumb, but when your syllabus stays silent, these are the ranges markers expect at each level. Check yours against the table, then let the word counter keep you honest while you draft.

AssignmentTypical lengthWhere students overshoot
Discussion post250–500 wordsRestating the prompt instead of answering it
Short reflective essay800–1,200 wordsBackground that belongs in an appendix
Standard course essay1,500–2,500 wordsThree examples making one point
Undergraduate case study1,500–3,000 wordsRetelling the case instead of analysing it
MBA case study3,000–5,000 wordsFrameworks listed but never applied
Research paper3,000–6,000 wordsLiterature summary crowding out your argument

A useful budget trick: give the analysis and recommendations sections at least half of your total word count, and split the rest between introduction, case background and conclusion. If the background alone eats 40%, no polish will save the grade — cut it and move the difference where the rubric pays. The words-to-pages converter turns any of these numbers into a realistic page count for the formatting your department requires.

Questions students ask

Frequently asked questions

Are these tools really free?+

Yes — every tool and every guide on this site is free, unlimited and anonymous. No trial, no “3 free uses”, no email wall. The site keeps the lights on through partner placements, which is also why there is nothing to pay for on your side.

Is my text uploaded anywhere?+

No. The counters, analyzers and builders run as JavaScript inside your own browser tab. Your draft, your citations and your SWOT points never leave your device unless you click a download button — and even then the file is created locally.

Which citation styles do you support?+

APA 7, MLA and Harvard referencing each have a dedicated generator, plus a bibliography builder that keeps all your sources in one list and sorts them alphabetically. Chicago support is on the roadmap.

Will these tools write the assignment for me?+

No — and that is deliberate. The generators produce structural drafts (thesis options, outlines, citation formats) that you are meant to edit and make your own, and the guides teach you why each part works. Submitting raw template output would earn you a plagiarism conversation, not a grade.

How long should a case study be?+

Most undergraduate case studies run 1,500–3,000 words and MBA ones 3,000–5,000, but your brief overrides any rule of thumb. Use the words-to-pages converter to sanity-check the length before you start writing.

Can I use the tools on my phone?+

Yes — the whole site is built mobile-first, so counters, matrix builders and generators work on a phone, a tablet and a library computer alike, even on slow Wi-Fi.
